OUR STORY
In our extensive experience within the chair industry, we recognized a common gap between form and function. Many ergonomic chairs tended to prioritize function over aesthetics, resembling medical equipment rather than office essentials. This realization ignited our desire to challenge the status quo and embark on a journey to design a chair that defied convention.
Drawing inspiration from our passion for sports cars and the exceptional carbon fiber craftsmanship seen in hypercar manufacturing (such as Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Pagani), we set forth on a clear mission: to unite this incredible material with ergonomic excellence, creating a seat that not only delivered superior comfort but also exuded unparalleled style for high performing individuals.
While we’ve come across chairs with mere carbon veneers or faux leather mimicking carbon fiber, our vision was resolute. We were unwavering in our determination to craft the entire structure from genuine carbon fiber. This choice wasn’t just about the jaw-dropping aesthetics; it was primarily a testament to the material’s exceptional strength and durability.
TIMELINE
READY, SET, GO!
As always it all begins with an idea. Our journey in the chair industry led us to a pivotal realization: a unique and essential material was conspicuously absent. It was at this point that we understood there was a discerning audience eagerly awaiting a chair of this caliber.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Embarking on this venture, our journey began with extensive research into the viability of such a product. Concurrently, we fostered a spectrum of innovative ideas pertaining to its construction, recognizing the formidable challenge posed by the intricate nature of the material.
FIRST SERIOUS INVESTMENTS
As we approached the close of 2021, we decided to take a bold step by investing in the creation of molds for our carbon fiber components. This pivotal moment was a blend of excitement and trepidation, for we understood that once the molds were finalized, our ability to make significant alterations to the overall product design would be greatly constrained.
FIRST SAMPLE
The beginning of 2022 marked an exhilarating chapter in our journey, as we had successfully reached the culmination of our initial prototype, presenting us with a tangible realization of our vision.
FOAM DEVELOPMENT
With the carbon fiber components poised for action, we turned our attention to crafting the foam that would envelop the front of the chair. This particular element held paramount importance, as it would directly impact the comfort and ergonomic well-being of the chair's future occupant, ensuring a harmonious blend of comfort and health.
OUR SECOND WORKING PROTOTYPE
Our second operational prototype failed to meet our lofty expectations. Seeing the full leather finish in conjunction with the foam and carbon fiber, we couldn't help but feel that the impact fell short of our anticipated 'wow' factor. This realization signaled that it was time for us to return to the drawing board.
A FEW FINISHING TOUCHES
And when we say 'a few,' we actually mean 'a lot.' Our aspiration was to create the most extraordinary chair available, and throughout the chair's development, we maintained an unwavering focus on identifying areas where improvements could elevate it to an exceptional standard. Consequently, we made the bold decision to turn this vision into reality, even if it meant further delaying the chair's launch.
